Safeguarding

Please choose one of these dates —

At Gas Street we are committed to the care, nurture and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults across the whole Church. Everyone who participates in the life of the Church has a responsibility and role to play in promoting a Safer Church for all. We recognise that as we have a vision to be 'Light for the City' there will be increasingly more people in our care who need support and as leaders we want to make sure we’re properly equipped. With this in mind we need all of our Gas Street Kids and Youth Teams, Hello&Welcome Team and all of our GS Leaders, to attend one of our 'Safeguarding @ Gas Street' events with material developed by the Church of England’s National Safeguarding Team.

During the event we will covering signs of abuse, vulnerability and confidentiality, how to respond and safe practice. Please sign up below to one of the events and treat it as a priority to attend. If you have any questions please do get in touch with either James Leavy, Ali Herbert or Nick Drake.

We recognise that there will be a number of people who have had training in other settings, however everyone who is leading in any capacity in Gas Street and holds some level of pastoral care needs to have this certified Church of England training.
