Kids

Gas Street Kids is a thriving ministry for 0-11 year olds. Our heart is that the kids encounter and develop a faith in God for themselves. We believe kids are a fundamental part of the family of God, who can dream dreams, hear from God and make a difference in their worlds - just like adults!

Experiences for the intern will include:

  • As a Gas Street Kids Intern, you will have the opportunity to join the Gas Street Kids Ministry team and play an active part in shaping and developing the ministry, considering how we best serve the kids, their families, the community and the wider Gas Street Kids team
  • This would involve being a key part in our Sunday Gatherings, our 'Worship for Everyone' gatherings, and developing our community groups

Hopes and goals for the intern year:

  • To grow in your walk with Jesus and feel stretched and prepared for future leadership

  • To better understand kids ministry within the local church

  • To help you understand more about yourself and how you work best both individually and within a team context

  • To learn new skills and build on existing ones which can then be transferred to other areas of life so you can become the best version of you

Who is this for?:

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and passionate people, who love working with kids. They are willing to learn and develop their strengths, leadership skills, and take a risk in serving the kids and their families at St Luke’s Gas Street

Students

We have an incredible group of students at Gas Street. They love seeking God and having fun. The student years are a unique and formative time for many people. As a church we are passionate about seeing every student develop their relationship with Jesus, have the chance to serve the city of Birmingham and feel part of the wider church family

Experiences for the intern will include:

  • Hanging out with students
  • Help plan and prepare and set-up for our weekly student gathering and other events
  • Gather and build student teams
  • We also do a lot of cooking

Hopes and goals for the intern year:

  • Grow in your leadership of teams
  • Experience student ministry and understanding more of how God has shaped you for his purposes

Who is this for?:

Someone who is passionate about seeing university students growing in their relationship with Jesus

Worship Central Operations and Projects

At Worship Central we aim to see the worship of Jesus Christ made central throughout our communities, local churches and the world. We do this through training and resourcing worship leaders and teams

Experiences for the intern will include:

  • Contributing to the day to day tasks that make Worship Central happen
  • Depending on your passions and gifting you could get involved in helping make our events happen, with media or other key projects
  • You will also be invested in on a personal level and we’d hope you’d grow as a disciple of Christ

Hopes and goals for the intern year:

  • That you would experience and contribute to a fun team with a big vision, as well as seeing practically what happens behind the scenes at Worship Central
  • We hope you’d grow in your leadership skills under the Projects and Operations Director and be better equipped to seek roles in similar organisations as well as come away having grown personally

Who is this for?:

This is for someone wanting to learn and grow in the area of administration and project management. This is not a worship leading role

Youth
